I am just starting out and have a few bottles of Grange 2001 that I am using to kickoff my new habit.
I have read as many of the posts here on Cellars that I can find and it seems most folks favor EuroCave and Vintage Keeper.
EuroCave has a sale right now on the EuroCave Premier 100 Wine Cellar at Wine Enthusiasts. Just curious if anyone has one and can comment about their experiences with it.
Also there is a silent cellar distributor near me here in Tampa Fl. I have not found any threads that discuss that brand. Just curious how that brand stacks up against the others
Thanks in advance for your replies. I know its a topic that probably gets discussed a lot, but its the most important item next to the wine itself
Steve - there's lots of info about cooling units in addition to this board and you might want to do a search for additional info. Of course, most will be from people selling, but when I was looking to buy, I just read everything and you can still learn a lot from the various vendors.
But whatever you buy, make sure that it's something a local refrigerator guy can fix - i.e. uses US measurements, etc.
Nice way to start a collection though! Best luck.

Sorry for the delay in replying but I have to support my scuba and wine habits by traveling all over the US as a computer consultant. Not sure which hobby will cost more
I'm a different scuba steve though. I'm not a member of the Florida Sportsman Forum but I might check that out.
Thanks for the feedback on the comfort 260.
We have found a local off site storage facility that we are going to use until we make a decision on a cellar. And with that we can start to add to our new collection.
After researching more here and spending a lot of time with my good friend google, we know that a 100 bottle unit is going to be too small.
Excellent tip on the local maintenance GregT. I have noticed a lot of the manuals are European with references to 50 cycles etc
