Hello everyone! Has anyone purchased the 2005 Bordeaux Sampler case of 12 that WineExpress is offering? The price seems pretty good! I do not have even the slightest knowledge on the 6 different types of Bordeaux wines offered in the Sampler. Can anyone give me some insight if these are pretty good to cellar or do you know of better smooth reds. I did purchase one sampler, but I'm not sure if I should invest in another case. If anyone has any suggestions then I'm all ears or rather eyes. Thanks a Million $$$ for your input.

Those appear to be little known producers. 2005 is supposed to be a really good vintage so hopefully they will be worth the average price of about $15 a bottle. There should be a lot of Bordeaux in the $10-$20 range that offers good qpr. It might be smart for you to stay at one case and buy wines from other producers. Don't put all your eggs in one basket as they say.

I would also say you may want to buy something that Parker, Tanzer or WS did a tasting note on. Reason being, they will give you a drinking window, so you will know if you can drink the wine now or if it will be shut down for 2 years.
