It's been a while since I last visited the Napa Valley to taste. But I'll have that chance soon. Who are producing the nice chardonnay in the $20-$40 price range these days. A while ago, I was into Stag's Leap and ZD but I have since lost touch.

I like complex wines that are like a party in my mouth, lively and lingering. Light, simple, and fruity don't really appeal. They are simply too thin. Any help would be appreciated.

Treat yourself to Artesa Winery off Henry Road in Carneros. Beautiful facility, nice tasting room with great views. They have some nice 2004 Chards.

Try Jarvis Winery. They have a weighty creamy Chardonnay.
