Enjoyed last night with Beef Bourguignon and homemade pizzas. Maroon coloured with a lighter red on the rim. Nose of cedar, plum leather and earth. On the palate were some subdued fruit, liquorice and earthiness. Medium bodied, with still some vibrant acidity, with nicely integrated soft tannin. A balanced, complex wine. Nice length with a chalk like quality at the very end. If I had to put points to it, I'd say around 93. The acidity was very pleasantly evident, so maybe it could have evolved further. Victory loves preparation. | ||
