This ia big dark plum colored Pinot Noir from the Kistler Vineyard in the RRV. Somehow this wine makes me think Premier Cru Chambole Musigny on steriods. It has nice Burgundian acidity but sweeter softer tanins. This is a real pleasure to drink with intense complex fruit flavors of cheeries, plum, and raspberries. Balanced and very pure with an extended finish. Hint of forest floor on the big nose along with dark fruit and spice. Drinking quite well right now and has the stuff to evolve with age too. 93pts. I could have finished this before we served the Salmon but also great with the food.
