I understand that they are a burgundy negociant and have seen their wines in the government liquor stores in Toronto. Any recommendations or experiences on their wines are appreciated.

Burgandy, hmmm. At a wine tasting last night had a Calvet, but it was a bordeaux. Possibly a different Calvet? In any case it was the only approchable, drinkable 2000 bdx that was tasted that night.

A friend of mine turned me on to the 2000 Calvet Reserve red. It was a really tasty Bordeaux in the $13-15 range. Great everyday drinking wine.

This was in the summer though. I wouldn't be suprised if the 2001 is now on the shelves which I have not tried.

Thanx for the responses.
Do you recall which area of Bordeaux the wines were from?

No area of Bordeaux was listed. These wines will almost all be blends from all over Bordeaux for the pricepoint and not estate or vineyard designated wines. Similar to Mouton Cadet, I guess but tastes better.
