Sour cherry, some licorice, subtle mineral, a touch of spice and a sour/savory quality is also there. There is an almost aromatic wood like character in there. Not quite sandalwood or cedar, but something like it. Medium body and a slightly chalky texture.

With time, this wine sort of got harsh and bitter. For me, I would probably enjoy this wine more with some short term cellaring and hope that bitterness resolves. But even if one does not find the wine bitter I felt like the wine sort of closed down and some of the more interesting and flavorful elements were obscured.
