From the Barossa Valley this wine blew me away. From 1996 it still has some good life left. Great fruit drive from the Cabernet with touches of French and American oak bringing together a great wine with subtle complexity.

I would not have picked this as a 17 year old wine. It was drinking beautifully. You can still buy wines from this estate. Look for the Dorrien Vineyard wines as the fruit evidenced in the 1996 was exceptional
