Had this tonight with Sturgeon served on a bed of morel risotto overlooking Lake Washington in Seattle. Beautiful -- and the wine was good too. Bright gold color with notes of apricot, caramel and pears -- fairly straight-forward example of an oaked California Chardonnay. Overall it was good but not great -- it lacked much mid-palate and length. WS gave this an 89, I think and I'd probably go one point lower at 88.

Had one tonight, agree with the typical, oaky chardonnay classification. Good but not worth going out of your way for. $18 to $20 for a 88 to 89 point chard.
