Costo has a few bottle in the $110 range. I haven't seen any reviews on the 2000 MV specifically, so has anyone tried this recently?

I wouldn't chance it without a respect review. The vineyard was replanted in the 1990s, I believe.

I have not tried it but I believe the first vintage bottling after the replanting was the 1996. If that was three year old vines, then the 2000 is from seven year old vines.

I have enjoyed Heitz for years. Parker's later scores were always lower than mine, especially 1996-1999, and while he didn't review the 2000MV, he only scored the 1999MV 87 points! I thought it was better than 87 points!

Bottomline, I wouldn't pay $110 for a bottle of the 2000 MV, especially when you can get the 1999 MV for $109 at NapaCabs.

2000 was such a weak California vintage, and you can buy far better bottles with that amount of $$$.

I'm a fan of Heitz, but I'll hold off until I can get something definitive. Thanx guys.
