Otis bought this in a duty free shop in an Australian airport a week or 2 ago and opened it on Saturday. It was quite unique.
From what I remember it was a pinkish hue. On the dry side with a light fizz in the glass. It wass tart and sour with black cherry notes. It faded on the finish. An interesting experience. 86 points.

I thought this sparkling shiraz was very easy to drink. Not like other examples, which can be aggressive, leathery, and full of dark licorice. the guy who sold it to me said this was a "starter sparkling shiraz".
As my wife said, this one tasted like sangria. Which means it wouldn't last long in our house.

Sparkling Shiraz is certainly an acquired tatse, but the QPR for this is not as good as, say, Fox Creek's VIXEN. Still, people should try this at least once.
