Yeah, that's right, 1,19 for a 25cl bottle, the full bottle is 2,79 however, though I think I've seen it for 2 before.
* J.P. Chenet Vin de Pay d'Oc Cabernet-Syrah 2001 I'm normally marginally interested in that price range but this wine got a WS 83 rating and so I was curious. Comes with a handy screw cap. Nice dark color, even throws some legs. Faint aromas and flavors of berries, the wine is clean and without flaws. Rating is OK. This is a party drink for non-whinos and should be excellent for cooking. Anybody can beat the QPR? ![]() |

This wine (and the white variety) are also available as bag-in-box over here; the red was great at summer picknick parties.
Did your wine also come in that gimmicky (sp?) dented bottle? |

Yes, there actually is a dent in the bottle, haven't figured out what for. The bottle is really neat however.

This must be available all over the world! It is my usual pasta-sauce cooking-wine and supermarket price is around USD/EUR 1.50 for the small bottle. The normal 75cl bottle is also dented - ugly, but who cares, I don't admire the prestigious label when I cook. ![]() |

Its six dollars here in NZ. I didn't realise it was okay-good quality wine, may have to try some for my budget/bargain hunter customers.

Jeremy, I wouldn't say it's a good quality wine, the 83 P. are too much. It's rather a clean and ok. cooking wine for uncomplicated dishes.

Yeah, maybe a little high, but as any clean and flawless wine deserves a 80 IMO, it's 80-82 anyway. But I would find it hard to argue about whether it's 82 or 83. My palate just isn't calibrated to that range.
