NV, ‘H’ Wines, Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon ($17)
A fragrant mix of spiced plum, sandalwood, and earth with notes of cherry, pepper, play-doh, and citrus peel please the nose. These elements meld smoothly on the rich dark red-fruit dominated palate. Medium to full bodied and dry, with a plush velvety texture and a lasting finish that features well integrated tannins and ripe bing-cherry acids. This is a beautifully structured and delightfully complex wine. “H’ is Eric Hamacher’s second label and is a delight, either with food or without. A 90-91 rating puts it into excellent QPR territory.

Got acid?

Everyone has to believe in something. I believe I’ll have another glass of wine.
