I got this bottle for $20.99, and had it over 4 hours period tonight. Dark purple in color. It is one of the few Chianti with full body, real weight, and gorgeous aroma of cherry and earth. A little too much of acid was my first impression, but turn out great with food and cheese especially Pecorino. Still, I think Chianti Classico from Felsina is still by far the best. DP = 90? point.

here are my original TNs from when I had this wine last week:
very average when first opened; after sit- ting in the opened but sealed bottle for 24 hours, this was a great chianti; gorgeous translucent deep red; loads of cherry and smoked meat aromas and flavors; very dry with chewy tannins and medium body balanced with pleasant fruit and ripe acidity; I can't wait to taste the '97 riserva I have
chianti classico is often a hit or miss wine, but after this one aerates for a while it is very complex for a sangiovese; I gave it a score of 7 out of 10 which corresponds to a wine you should set aside for a nice dinner
