  Purchased recently for $16 from KL Wines. This was a very nice surprise. One of the most tightly focused, crisp Ausleses I've tried. Not very sweet at all. Refreshing citrus profile and no sulfurous funk (which I was expecting on a 9-yo German wine). Good value. Glad I have another bottle. (90 pts.)

Baron Heyl also makes a Nierstein Auslese "Rarity" that is also just like you described. It through me off, I had to do a double take...this is an Auslese? But mine was $17.99 a 375ml

K&L had more of this vintage for sale earlier this year, so I picked up a bottle (although the price went up to $19). They still have some in stock at the Hollywood store as I write this.

otisabdul was right - even 3 years later it's still quite crisp & fresh, w/very little petrol and just barely a hint of botrytis.

Peach cobbler, mandarin & mineral oil on an expressive, complex nose; light body, fresh on palate w/straightforward, sweet stone fruits; finishes a bit weak, but tasty overall.
