I'm not sure what to make of this wine at this point. I love Seghesio in general, and I have had this wine 3-4 times in the past. Great zin for under $25. The bottle we opened last time in addition to the 96 Gallo Frei seemed to be losing some punch. Granted it is now almost 4 years for this zin, but I typically see Seghesio zins going a tad longer. I hope that it was just bottle variation because I still have 5 bottles left. If it wasn't bottle variation, I would suggest drinking up very soon.
Currently, doc points = 86 (rather than the 89-91 points from previous bottles).
