This wine was one of my favorites when I first started collecting wine. In fact, it was the first wine of which I bought a whole case.

Inky dark color with long, slow legs. Full-bodied with plum, creamy dark chocolate, and a spot of tea flavors. There was even a touch of ginger early on, but that faded as the wine sat. This wine is a mouthful, showing quite big, hunky, and sweet. The tannins calmed down approx 1 1/2 hours after opening (the wine was not decanted). This wine is great, but will be even greater on its 10th birthday. I’d call it a 93 pointer.

Make Cab, not War.
