'Sorry for the new thread on an old wine; all the other threads (including mine) had multiple wines on them - I've learned better since. Smile

Still dark ruby red color - virtually no visual signs of aging. Attractive nose of star anise, floral notes, and cherry. More cherry and plum on the palate, with a hint of spice, and refreshing acidity on the finish. The magnitude of this wine has decreased fairly dramatically since I last tasted it three years ago. Very elegant and sophisticated, but it's lost more depth of fruit and tannic structure than I'd prefer. It might just be my taste, but I much preferred it younger; the acidity seems to have outlived the fruit and tannin. Confused 92 Drink now.

De gustibus non est disputandum.
