A nice New Zealand Sauv Blanc. This wine is merely OK to drink on its own but with the right food combo it was really nice. The food was Chinese, mostly Szechwan and very spicy. The spice killed the grassiness that I generally don’t care for in Sauv Blanc. With this food it tasted like tropical fruit, such as mango with some lime and a minerality. Mr. Winetex does not like Sauv Blanc and even said that he liked the wine. For $10 we will do this combo again. [Smile]
