2001 Weinlaubenhof Alois Kracher Chardonnay/Welschriesling Grande Cuvée TBA #6 Nouvelle Vague - Austria, Burgenland, Neusiedlersee (5/15/2008) I really liked this wine. Pure nose of ripe peach, ripe apricot and sweet honey(not the wild honey rustic stuff in the SGN). More apricot and sweet honey notes on a sweet long non-cloying finish. Not overly complex but damn tasty. (92 pts.)

How long did you open/breathe before drinking? Last couple Krachers I have had (most recent was a 98 #6) were soooo much better day 2.
If I have the opportunity/ foresight, I try to open all of my dessert wiens at least 10 hours before consumption. I find this usually adds at least a point or two..

Unfortunately it was pop'n pour but I'll take your advice next time round.
Have you tried the #4 from the same vintage?
