Certainly drinkable now, pretty good but consumed too quickly, methinks. Drank with dinner (mushroom and sage ravioli) within 1 hr. Straight from bottle into glass. Wasn't tight, but the nose had little chance to open up. Really missed any bouquet by polishing off so abruptly. Mouthfeel and mid-palate were good and balanced with minimal heat and soft tannins. Have 1 bottle left but will try to leave it alone for 3-5 years.

Thanks for the note! I tasted several of the '03 BdMs (not Siro P) last year and found them all pretty rough and hard. I'll keep my eye open for this one at a good price.

Yeah, price was an issue for the '03. I can get the '04 right now for about 10% less than I paid for the '03 (probably overpaid last year). I'd say under $50 would be a good price for it now. Haven't tried the '04 yet and probably won't for several more years, so the '03 can be enjoyed in the meantime. The '05's and '06's are coming soon enough. Looking forward to see how they develop.
