Just wanted to put up a note that this is a very good wine.

It has only a slight indication of its age in the flavors... enough to add to the complexity a touch. But the balance of fruit and acidity is gorgeous. Showed well with and without food over several days. 89pts.

Thanks for the note - loved the 1989 Vin de Tris, the 90 and the 96 (not the sec though). We had a very nice visit with the Prince at this estate in 2002.

I'm jealous... Quite an interesting story around him.

I also opened a 2004 Clos Boudoin from Chidaine last night, but I have another half to finish before I post a note.

I'm assuming it is from the Prince's property that Chidaine now manages that went into this bottle.

Yes, the Chidaine Clos Baudoin is the old Poniatowski property.
