I don't think notes have been posted for this, so here goes...

Bought for about $12, decanted for 30 min for the hell of it, tasted out of Riedel Vinum Syrah glasses, had with home made pizza.

-warm, dusty ruby; 4/5 for intensity with slight cloudiness?
-somewhate muted nose of oak, cranberries, plums, and an odd, candle-wax/paraffin scent; eventually got something of a funky, faint, not unpleasant BO note.
-easy fruit on the front, plums, prunes, slight pepper, very slight residual sugar; acids at first seemed bold, but then appeared to settle down, perhaps too much; tannins not quite strong enough but well integrated; medium mouthfeel and a fairly short finish.

Overall, not a bad bottle of wine for the price, but lacked the complexity and cajones of a top-notch Syrah. I'd say 87, and as such, not a bad QPR.

I never drank anything stronger than beer... before I was twelve.- W.C. Fields
