This is a $40 wine but the PA state stores are now selling a batch of it for 18.99. I say a batch because in the same store they may have the same wine but some bottles have a different code at $40 and some are at $19.
I opened it yesterday.
Black wine that appears very concentrated. Nose of ripe fruit and honey (the honey is almost like an oaky chardonay which is odd for a cab but interesting). The wine is sweet and smooth. It tasted much less concentrated than it looked. Some fruit on the palate but also nice integrated oak. Very little tannins. I will drink the remaining 3 bottles in the next year. 90pts Really nice for the $19 price I paid. I would not pay $40 for it.
