I picked this up principally for cooking, but ended up having a glass with an apple tart after dinner and was quite pleased.

A clean pronounced nose of figs, lemon cream, and toasted walnuts. On the palette, aromas of dates, orange, and spice, alcohol is a bit hot, but there is good acidity that almost stands up to the sweetness. A nice and prolonged finish.

86-88pts, and an excellent qpr at $12.

When I feel the urge to exercise, I lay down till the feeling passes.

Honey, caramel, orange and spice. Like a fortified Tokaji? Slight edge, bitter on the tongue, but not bad for a fortified wine. 87 Points
