Light brass color, sweet apple, slate and petrol aromas. Full-bodied, sweet, ripe apples and peaches dominate, the peaches less so, with submissive pears and a bit of cream accompanied by a tangerine-grapefruit acidity along with some minerals and a trace of lemon rendezvous to round out an excellent wine, citric aftertaste, 93. Benefits from aeration and IMO higher serving temperatures. Drink now or in ten years, this will last.
I enjoyed the last of this wine sitting and reading a book in my backyard on a wonderful sunny spring day in southern California. A very pleasant experience. I also had some Irish cheddar in between sips.
Who do you have to probe around here to get a chardonnay?
