To start with, I know this winery is not popular with certain folks on this board. I gave their regular bottling a favorable review and posted it here a while back and low and behold the wine snobs came out of the woodwork. Well here is a review of their reserve cab. Tasted tonight, 2/24/03.
Dark ruby color. Nice legs running straight down the glass staining it purple. Nose is of mint and eucalyptus with cherries and sweet cedar. Nicely aromatic. Wonderful cherry and vanilla carrying through to a warm and smooth finish thanks to the fine grain tannins. The flavors just keep coming at ya. An elegant frame with loads of cherry and dark bittersweet chocolate. An elegant flavorful wine. An excellent effort from this Washington State producer.
It's clear to me that this winery has improved a great deal in the last few years or so and is well worth a second look considering they have kept their prices in line with the real world.

Cheers folks
