This is a Napa cab that I have heard was made from leftover juice from a major boutique producer. I picked up a case of this while I could. Would love to hear some TN's and any info that can be shed on this wine's pedagree. Thanks

Scotty,
Sorry, but I've never heard of Unity Hill Rud's Cuvee.
Have you tasted the wine? Even though it may be from a "major boutique producer", if they rejected the juice and it is from the 2006 Cali Cab vintage, I would be very concerned. Also, was it a 6 bottle case, or 12, and what was the cost per bottle?
Well, I have been trying to dig deeper into this. All I know is that everyone I know who has tried this has bought it by the case. I got the last one available here. The cost is $22 per bottle and I plan on trying one this weekend. It is connected to the "Wine Liberation Society" out of Birmingham, AL and there is a label and "coming soon" mention there. The winemaker for this project is listed as Jeff Libarle who is in the Sonoma area. Gonna get to the bottom and find out the details on this one!

I just noticed I hadn't updated my info. We moved to the Athens area just west of Huntsville. Might not be too far from you as we live very close to Hwy 65 about 15 minutes to the Tenn border.

Germantown, TN is in the Memphis area, and about 175 miles from Huntsville, AL. Also, many years ago I had some business in Huntsville, AL and I heard a Huntsville Airport P.A. announcing 3 different non-stop flights to: Los Angeles, Seattle, and Washington DC. I thought that was fairly amazing, but I think it had a lot to do with Redstone Arsenal!
