Went in to my local liquor store to try and get some New Zealand Pinot Noir- didnt have any. Wine Guy reccomended this so I picked up 2 bottles @ $25.00 CDN. Any notes?

I haven't had the 2000 WV yet, but I haven't thought much of earlier efforts. I did try, and liked the reserve 1999s and the 2000 Salud! Cuvee.

I have the 2000 Erath Pinot Noir WV but have not opened it. I have tried the 1999 Erath Reserve Pinot Noir and found it a good effort, too. For Erath, I was pleasantly surprised. I think you will find it an average effort of an average Oregon winery. In the price range, try the 2000 Argyle WV (better than the 2001) and I bought it at $13 US, and the Rex Hill King's Ridge WV (US$15) are usually better Oregon Pinot Noir wines in that price range of less than US$18.I actually think for the price, both are good Oregon buys.

Open one up now, as it should be ready. Post what you think.

the regular bottling is very nice, although i think '01 may be current release????? For about $13 retail this pinot is almost unbeatable.
