  • 2004 Foxen Cabernet Sauvignon Vogelzang Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Ynez Valley (9/10/2008)
Notes of cassis, blackberry, and expresso roast. Finishes with bit of pomegranate. Not completely seamless, nor especially complex, but it also does not display that green note that I often find in Cabs from the region. A decent, well-made wine that is enjoyable to drink. (88 pts.)

Speaking of the Vogelzang Vyrd, try there estate Sauv. Blanc if you find it. I hear it quite different. I will post a TN when I open one soon.
