Opened by Otis and paired with osso bucco. From the excellent 1996 vintage in Piedmont. Violet red color. Classically styled. Rich with a deep texture. Notes of leather, cassis and dark fruit. My favorite of the 3 Piedmont wine opened at this dinner. Among the best of the 5 Giacosa Barolo/Barbaresco wines I have had. 95 points.
