I rate this wine very highly. Recently been drinking both the 1998 and 1999. As expected ,the 1998 is a bit more balanced..not overpowering tannins, but enough of a backbone. Hints of cedar, bright fruit, long aftertaste.

Reminds me of a dominus cab.

I agree with At regarding the comparison to Dominus. I think it needs time like a Dominus too. I have a few of the 98 D2 and Chaleur and plan to lay them down for 3-4 more years.
