Dark ruby in color. Bacon fat, toffee, and dark fruit on the nose. Black fruit with a touch of blueberry and some grilled meat flavors. Fairly big wine with a little heat on the finish, but all in all it hid its alcohol well. I think it might be on the downward side of its evolution (but not by much), so I'll try to drink my other bottle within a year. 91 pts
