Here's another wine i had the opportunity to try this past weekend.

To start with, it has that good St. Julian aromatics of crushed berries, heavy cedar and earth. However, The finish, with it’s one-dimensional, leathery, unripe bitter dark fruit, just does not live up to it’s nose. 84/85

Donn, this was being poured at a local wine tasting. However, Gloria is not a glamourous Bordeaux and should have showed better, especially from the 99 vintage.

Gloria has such a beautiful name and such an average production. I have never been impressed with this wine, although I seem to always give it consideration!
