Dark, not quite opaque crimson tending to purple. On the palate, it’s plush, medium- to full-bodied with a hint of sweetness to its dark cherry, berry and plum fruit flavors all backed up by a hint of anise to add interest. Finishes with smooth, well-integrated tannins.
For the money, this is some nice juice. I paid $14, but I found it online for as low as $10 on sale! A real bargain and great QPR. My score: 90 points. Not an ager, but a fantastic party/everyday wine; should be a real crowd pleaser.
Note: I liked this much better than the more-expensive Mitolo “Jester” Shiraz I had last week.

It is a delicious wine - for my palate, it is a new world wine with "old world sensibilities." Good fruit, but not a fruit bomb, if you know what I mean.
