This is basically like a Lambrusco, with Lambrusco grasparossa 30%, Lambrusco di montericco 30%, Malbo gentile 20%, Sgavetta 20%. Or maybe it qualifies as a Lambrusco, I don't know. But I don't think so b/c of the other grapes in it.
Very, very frizzante... Very darkly red colored. The nose was just like a regular dry red. Fairly expressive. But holy cow, this wine is dry, dry, dry. It struck me as very well made (it has a wonderful finish) and that it would be great sipping out on a warm day in an Italian village, but I don't think it will appeal to many tastes for general drinking.
Lambrusco lovers that I know usually like a little sweetness. This has none - zero.
Anyhow... interesting wine. Very sturdy... stopped-up with a champagne stopper, it has lasted several days. 85pts.
