This bright golden-hued wine had a brilliant floral nose with undertones of butterscotch. On the palate, the wine was viscous and rich with flavors of lemon oil and vanilla. Very different from anything most of us have tasted, with some similarities to a white Hermitage. Actually very different from most white Priorats, though stylistically like my favorite white Priorat, Mas d'en Gil Coma Blanca, to which it clearly takes a back seat. 90

Another white Priorat you should try is the 2005/2006 La Conreria Les Brugueres Vi Blanc. It is 100% Garnacha Blanc. The importer is European Cellars Direct out of NYC. It is a WA 90 pointer.

I've had it many times, at a restaurant in Gratallops in Priorat and in Barcelona and the US. By the way, Albert Criville of the winery, told me they were going to stop making it. The intention was to replant the vineyard with red varietals.
Other white Priorats we enjoyed, in addition to the spectacular Mas d'en Gil Coma Blanca, are the extremely modestly priced Mas Igneus Barranc dels Closos and Clos Mogador Nelin.

Have you tried the 2007 version of this white Priorat? If so, how did it compare?
