Opened this last night to go with Baked Dijon Chicken Breast. Light in color. Nose of apple, stone, and a little bit of citrus and spice. Predominant flavors were citrus with mineral components and ample acidity. Not as rich nor nuanced as the Alzinger I had about a week or so ago (note posted below somewhere). A good match with the chicken and an adequate QPR at the $26 I paid. 88 pts “Appreciating old wine is like making love to a very old lady. It is possible. It can even be enjoyable. But it requires a bit of imagination.” Andre Tchelistcheff | ||
