This New Zealand bottling sells for about $46 and in my opinion is overpriced for the quality you get despite the fact that it was very good. WS rated it 89 points.

This medium red wine had an earthy nose with just a slight hint of brett although like the 1999 Chehalem Stoller at the tasting it was not a negative. It was the fruitiest of the 6 Pinots at the tasting. I noted tart berry and currant among all the fruit. It had a medium length finish. 90 points.

I was expecting more from this bottle. Maybe it needs time, but it's 3-5 points behind the 2000 Ata Rangi in its current evolution. A bit too leathery and restrained for my taste. 87P.
