After a nice glass of "Les Christins:" 2005, a very nice fruit-forward (ultra-raspberry) yummy wine, I then proceeded to decant and taste this wine which had gotten very positive reviews in Quebec.
Well folks, it is a strange experience, there is a lotta wood, like a lotta lotta wood, some nice fruit and a weird smell that I can only liken to: a) very tart green apples 2) cat piss.. your choice..
Maybe in a few years, the irritants will go away, but till then, this wine has very obvious shorcomings... Save your money.

Based on the previous note, am not sure it's the same wine. One I had was made by Altair, everything else checks.

Opened two days ago, and finished this afternoon.
Nose: Big cab cassis, mint, red plums. Lush mouthfeel, rich berry, plum, spice. Wood there, but not out of balance, with some interesting eucalyptis notes on the finish, especially upon opening. I had a bottle of this last year, and didn't remember liking it as well. This is a poor/frugal man's Don Melchor. 88pts, with upside I think. Paid $20, good QPR.

PSA: Please report gratuitous trolling/flaming immediately (little triangle at bottom right).
