Magnum bottle, decanted for an hour: Great nose of raisins, wet forest floor, lead pencil, pine needles and lots of cured leather, with a somewhat dusty (later malty) touch. Full bodied and beautifully complex, revealing flavours of nougat, bitterchocolate, rosemary and raisiny fruit. Mighty and on the border of being hot like a young Vintage Port. Long, multilayered finish. Older style than its descendants from the 1995 or 1997 vintage, but I love it: 93 P.
What are you doing exactly, getting rid of all your bigger formats in one week? I imagine your friends trying to convince you to sign up for another dissertation in a few years...

This Mag was actually poured by my father, just because he knew I love this wine.
Tsunami, I'm terribly looking forward to our excessive Saturday! Please call me one the next days so that we can arrange some things: who brings food and what type of wine (white, reds, stickies an so forth)
