2001 Domaine Ponsot Morey St. Denis Cuvée des Grives - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis (6/21/2008)

Allred brought this to dinner on our patio last weekend. We paired it with rubbed pork tenderloin cooked on the grill with zuchini and a side of cold cous cous, green onion and tomato salad. I liked this wine very much A nice pairing with the pork and a food friendly wine overall. It was a ruby red color. The tannins were moderate. Notes of tart bing cherry, spices and elderberry. Good mouthfeel and medium to long finish. 91-92 points.
