  • 2001 Huët Vouvray Pétillant Brut - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray Pétillant (11/4/2009)
Great stuff here. Some age showing colorwise.
Yeasty nose with quince, green apple, pear. Med+ acidity, dry, fine, soft and light bubbles. A very light touch of oxidation on the palate with again plenty of apple, quince, pear and the yeasty flavor get stronger with air.
Overall, a great Vouvray petillant which would shadow quite a few Champagne! (90 pts.)

Ditto.

PlanoWino always seems to have a few nice wines from Huet.

I have always thought highly of PlanoWino. Smile
