Does anyone have any experience with this bubbly? Are there any good or great ones currently available?

Beaumet did a fabulous Pinot Noir only Champagne for the Millennium - haven't seen it since but it was very fragrant and had a feint pinkish hue.

Sainsbury's has one that, a couple of years ago, they were flogging off at £5 per bottle. I took one home and found it to be acceptable for the price. The following day I returned to find a vacuum which I, like Nature, abhored frown

Wine, Women and Song - one out of three ain't bad

My favourite Blanc de Noir Champagne is by far Bollingers Vielles Vignes Francaises. It is big, chewy & complex.

I had the 1990 last year, and was under-whelmed. A huge disappointment. Perhaps, even with the small production, bottle variation is the norm. I had heard so much about it........
