92 points: Buttery, savory, zesty, smoky with flinty mineral. Fruit is way in the background on this.

Thanks for the notes spo. I've enjoyed their red "Rubicon" bottling in the past and will keep my eye out for this one.

A smoky profile has almost always been present in Meerlust's wines. Interesting that the one you tasted wasn't dissimilar.

I have a bottle of Rubicon too, Indybob. Seriously interested in SA right now so may try some more Meerlust when I am out.
