Yesterday I opened this precious old Cote de Nuits, that I purchased last year for $ 55. Although De Vogue wasn't at its best in the 1980s, this one would be impressive, so my retailer told me.
Pale, cherry red colour. The nose opened immediately. Fruity, sweet, floral and with some blackberry. Medium bodied wine, elegant and balanced. Berry, paprika, licorice, leather and soft mushroom. Impressive finish (over 1 minute). Lovely wine. 91pts
Do you want to smell my wooden shoes?
