I bought six bottles at a charity auction last night. Should I keep them or donate them back? Thanks. Smile

Io 1998
Red Wine
(Santa Barbara County) $60
WINE ENTHUSIAST 11/2001
------------------------------------

IO 1998 (Red Rhône type), Santa Barbara, California
RATED 3 STARS
Connoisseur's choice
Rich fruit, peppers and spice
enjoy in 3-5 years. A pet project of winemaker Ken
Brown, IO is a blend of 88% Syrah, 6% Grenache, and 6%Mourvedre. This is the third vintage of IO and this one in particular makes a powerful
statement for Santa Barbara's potential for Rhône style wines. With production just over 1,400
cases, IO is a small-batch, hand-made wine. It is a dark, healthy-looking wine with powerful aromas of pepper, spices, and deep, ripe red fruits.
Big, but amazingly velvety in texture for a wine of its size, it exhibits flavors of earthy, smoky,
leathery character. However, the flavors never stray from their lush, ripe blackberry focus. Admittedly, this is expensive stuff and is
recommended more for those with an insatiable curiosity about Rhône-style wines and a generous
wine budget. Drink over the next 3-5 years. DECANTER.COM Norm Roby, 13 December 2001

I'd say it's a keeper! Wink

Just sign on the website..No Charge...Though, their numbers are not regarded as highly as Parker, Tanzer and WS.
