We visited this winery 22 days ago. It's got the distinction, along with Lakeview Cellars, of being about the worst wineries we've ever visited. Too bad. The property is beautiful and hosts weddings. I hope they serve beer. The wines:

2001 Reserve Chardonnay, 12.7% alcohol, $16-
Melon nose with some stank on it. Lousy. If this is the Rserve, I'm very happy to have skipped the regular bottling. 68

2004 Riesling, 12% alcohol, $11-
Very light apple nose. Simple. 75

2000 Covered Bridge Bordeaux type blend, 12% alcohol, (magnum) $17- Horrible! 66

1999 Pinot Gris Icewine, 9.2% alcohol, $90-
Honey nose. Rich stewed fruit flavors. Nice balance. Unique. 91

Just one more sip.

Board-O

Why do you even visit these places other than for their icewines and other than to prove that Mishy is the Fraud she is?

I would not want to drink this swill!!!

Just took a couple of sips. Laughed a little too.

Dr. F, give it a try. It's fun and interesting. it provides scale for West Coast wines.

Just one more sip.

And what if I think that West coast wines are over-oaked over-extracted swill?

But you do know you'd like to prove Mishy wrong....especially since she makes bling generalizations like this:
Mishy said:
:You must mean aside from posting as Mike Levine on Squires and Buffalo Bob on my site?
Dr. FG
The '02 is the most challenging vintage for that region in many years, heavy rains at harvest............WS 93 ?! Phhhfft
Numanthia can be 'good', not in '02 though, and never great."

and you also think DRAB stands for:

D**K tried to
Ram but could not
And
Broke

No wonder you have so many friends, the quickness to chastise someone that had initially agreed with you in such blunt terms!

(Better words could have been spoken)

What could I expect from a NY'er

Dr Feelgood should receive an award as one of the more retarded Mishy-wanna-be's I've seen floating the web......
Weird moniker choice too, or is that an insight into you more so ?????
Very clever beyond that tho - tsk-tsk, you waskily wabbit Wink
Vino-me shall now be reduced to a near-ish second (sorry bud, and just kidding) in the running saga of "who want's to be a Mishy".
Well staged. Must be the mafia.

Being famous does have it's drawbacks........

I have visited Hernder probably a year ago. Nothing remotely interesting. The only wine they have been lucky with has been 2000(?) Cabernet Franc Unfiltered. Reminded me of a simple but tasty AOC Bordeaux. Was a good deal for about $13 Canadian.
Agree with Board-O re nice location.
