This is a wonderful summer Viognier with its rambunctious fruit, intense floral flavors and racy acidity. The nose is full of gardenias, fruits and liquid stones. The palate has loads of floral flavors along with lime, pear and a bit of mandarin orange. As a reference, this is the opposite of Pride's version which is very rich and fat. The Summerland is focused, leaner and crisper with such a powerful floral element which is so typical of Viognier. This is really an appealing style for a new world version of this varietal.
