1989 Château Ausone - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru (6/19/2008)
WIML92-94 Tasted June 19, 2008 at an offline. Opened and served immediately. Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, fairly clear hue throughout. Feminie nose with lovely florals and light berry notes. Soft and supple on the palate with flavors of berries and cherries with just a tiny hint of earthiness on the medium to long finish. Medium acidity and tannins, medium to full body. Drink or hold. (93 pts.) Joe ----- Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. |

wiml, I'm glad this beauty was at my table as I got to enjoy ALL night.
A nice note Joe and would only add I was getting a little clove in mine all night. I was thinking on my drive home, I have never had a wine outside of Bordeaux exhibit the elegance this wine did. |

In points, 94+. That said Joe, not just a point wine really. The shear elegance and balance made it special I thought. Agree? |
